2018 Four Generations of the Royal Family £5
Released in 2018 by The Royal Mint to commemorate four generations of UK royalty. The last time four generations of the royal family were celebrated together was in 1894 under Queen Victoria, and this was the first time ever that The Royal Mint had issued a coin that celebrated all four generations in line to the throne on a single coin.
The reverse features an original design by much-loved calligrapher Timothy Noad, and ornately shows the initials of the current four generations, E, C, W, G, and represents the heritage of the House of Windsor.
*Not released into general circulation*
Obverse: Jody Clark-Queen Elizabeth portrait
Reverse: Three crowns above the letters E, C, G and W above crossed oak sprigs. (Designed by Timothy Noad)
