2020 Jersey Charles Dickens £2 Set of 5
 
Charles Dickens is widely regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian Era, creating some of today’s best-known characters including Oliver Twist, Ebenezer Scrooge and Nicholas Nickleby to name just a few.
 
To mark the 150th anniversary of his death, a £2 Coin Collection was released by the Jersey Treasury in 2020. This remarkable Collection features five unique £2 coins, designed by renowned artist Andy Walker, with each coin depicting some of Dickens’ most famous works along with iconic excerpts from the book including;
 
Great Expectations “Ask no questions, and you’ll be told no lies”
Oliver Twist “Please Sir, I want some more”
David Copperfield “Never do to-morrow what you can do today”
A Christmas Carol “God Bless Us, Every one!”
Charles Dickens Portrait “1812 Charles Dickens 1870”
