A Jersey £2 coin commemorating the 25th anniversary of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) founded in 1961.
The WWF is an international non-governmental organisation that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment.
This coin features a Mauritius pink pigeon which was first brought to Jersey in 1977 as part of a breeding program to increase numbers in the wild. The program was started by Gerald Durrell of the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust and is still in operation today.
